I actually thinks it’s a pretty cute idea for a commercial, it’s a shame it was made to advertise something as fundamentally worthless as Horizon Worlds.
I'm pretty sure this is meant to lure in the older folks. The people who want to see their old friends and get the "band back together." This requires the "friends" to feel the same, but that's just a minor detail I guess. Not like people can move on and become different people after splitting up, maybe live a life they enjoy better than their old life or see the relationship as one-sided and just want to move of.
I just don't get the point of it.
