Our sense of exploration has fading away
In 10 years time we'll laugh at the size of the VR glasses.
I've already been playing VR for close to 2 years. I'm already tired of it and through spending a lot of time in there I have discovered I want more than I ever did before to throw myself back into real life ln I bigger way, I want to get into gardening, spend more time with family, get cell phones away from the dinner table, spend more time hiking and living. Like seriously this isn't good, I'm afraid people will quickly find this isn't the glorious thing they are making it out to be. I fear with the rise of AI and automation and stricter rules on travel and ownership of things there are big plans for the world that don't include most of us but as these things are implemented people will be too distracted to notice until its too late
This tech is going to be forced on us. Eventually we won't have a choice. Live in the real world as much as you can guys. Clearly reality is going to be something else.
I would like to know how to get more knowledge about metaverse, is there going to be education about that or you Just learn by experience.
If this is the future. Than definitely we don't need it.

VR is amazing an has infinite possibilities, I agree myself as an HCI designer… but I feel like puking, my eyes hurt and I get a headache inside a VR headset. 🤢🤮 FIX IT! fix the headset.
Everyone likes to think that they won’t get sucked into this, but it is going to be very enticing when the tech progresses to photorealistic avatars with full face, eye and body tracking.
Just think back to the early 2010’s where older generations scoffed at social media and smartphones, and now most of them are just as addicted – if not more addicted – than young people.
That was a fantastic TEDx talk. People like me are tired of the noise and the news propaganda, and want another world, so why not the VR world? I have an oculus headset that I used for a few weeks and stopped. I could not find social events, and it was challenging to navigate. Every app wanted money to download. Then I discovered it was difficult to erase a download.
The future might look like the Matrix. Reality is messed-up, and the future looks bleak. VR offers the option of escaping the real world to live in another. Who knows what happens next?

VR is definitely a powerful tool and Somnium Space is an incredible world however, before investing in it please be aware the CEO scammed his original backers and a lot of the community have left because of his attitude – Somnium is a ghost world and if we were to measure its success by the amount of people inworld then this world would be considered a total failure. To you Mr CEO give the backers what they paid for.
I'm getting up to "that age" where I'm starting to lose touch with technology but I'm still young enough to be highly interested in it. I really want to join in on this idea and I look forward to seeing what the future of AR looks like. But… right now, I am completely lost. How does one get started with the VR experience? Any tips or advice? I read a few articles about the future of real estate in the Metaverse and as a middle aged woman who has missed out on many opportunities to invest in the past…I don't want to miss out on the possibility of a wonderful opportunity, IF there even IS an opportunity for real estate ownership in the VR world in the future. What do you guys think? And…IF owning VR real estate is going to happen… how would I invest in it? I don't want to get rich (although, I'm not opposed lol)… but if good money can be made, I'd absolutely be happy with just enough so that I never have to worry about which utility bill will have to wait until next payday. I just don't want to struggle anymore… honestly?…I want enough money so that my children don't have to struggle and scrape to pay my final living expenses when it's my time to cross over and I want them and my two grandchildren (so far) to always have a home to live in…i have experienced homelessness and I will do whatever I need to do so that my kids and grandkids don't have to experience it after I'm gone. I don't want to be rich… but I want to be stable. And… just throwing this out there…I thought that this new VR world would finally get rid of the financial separation of society…I thought it would finally make everyone even. A new slate. A fresh start with no greedy corporations and government leaders making billions of dollars off the backs of the working class… it's getting old and I'm exhausted from this neverending cycle of working and struggling, working and struggling, working and struggling… with no freedom from this prison that I call life, anywhere in my future. anyway… getting off topic a bit…I just need some suggestions and opinions please. If I should invest…tell me, please…I'm tired of missing opportunities all of the time. I don't even know if I could even afford to invest in VR real estate…I certainly can't afford to invest out here, in the "real world" but…if a majority honestly believes that VR real estate investments are going to happen in the near future and that I could potentially live in an actual house instead of a deteriorating mobile home…let me know what steps I should be taking to make that happen please.
